Worried about air pollution, smog and other tiny air-borne particles affecting your health? You may need to get outside more. Really. A study in the Journal of Environmental Science and Technology found a variety of chemicals used to make everything from carpets to couches resist stains showed up in the blood-work of office workers in Boston. The highest levels of these chemicals were found in the air of new buildings. And one compound found in the blood of some workers was withdrawn from use ten years ago.
