Officials with the Simcoe County District Health Unit and Soldiers' Memorial Hospital have declared a c. difficile outbreak at hospital. Seven cases were reported in July, there are three new cases already this month. There are generally between one and three cases per month. No restrtictions have been placed on visitation, but visitors are urged to wash their hands before entering the hospital and when they exit and enter patient areas. In addition, the hospital has stepped cleaning services.
