The amount of dirt coming out of American Idol this morning is staggering...first of all...Ellen Degeneres has quit. She say she told the powers at Fox a couple of months ago that not only was not a great fit for her, but her work schedule became more than she bargained for. As well, she said she found it too difficult to judge people and sometimes hurt their feelings. So that leaves 2 chairs open since Simon is outta there...so here's the scoop...
On the same day Ellen made her announcement to leave, the word is that Jennifer Lopez is very close to signing a deal to become a permanent judge. Sources say she's very excited and feels it will allow her to combine work and motherhood...now here's a twist to throw in all of this...
Sean "Diddy" Combs wants Simon Cowell's job — but only if he gets the same paycheck. He told George Lopez in an interview he very much wants the gig. But...how would Jenny from the block feel about this if she's indeed hired on to replace Ellen? She and Combs are exes... but wait...that's not all...
TMZ is reporting this morning that Kara DioGuardi has been ejected from her judges chair. Word is that the show will return to the old format of 3 judges...TMZ says they will be Randy Jackson, Jennifer Lopez and...STEVEN TYLER.
