His life was saved by a defibrillator at his school, now, 14-year old Brandon Koskitalo of Penetanguishene is helping to ensure every school in the province has the device. Koskitalo was at Queen's Park Tuesday, telling his story to MPP's. He went into cardiac arrest November 2, 2009 while attending James Keating Elementary School - which was equipped with a defibrillator. All concerned, his family, paramedics and school staff, maintain the device saved his life. Elissa Freeman, with the Heart and Stroke Foundation, told ROCK 95 NEWS that two-thousand Automated External Defibrillators are already in use in schools across the province and they have saved 21 lives.
