I was born in London, Ontario, but did high school in Barrie. I’m an old Barrie North Viking. I moved away from Barrie in 1979, and decided to check out my country. I tripped across Canada by myself, usually on a train, staying in different provinces for different lengths of time. Sooner or later, you have to figure out a career and I chose to get into the media business.

I do a daily commentary called Cheap Seats. This commentary has led to thousands of emails and phone calls from listeners. Some agree, some don't. Some listeners think I'm a great guy based on my Cheap Seats opinions, while other listeners hate my guts and try to get me fired based on my Cheap Seats opinions.

Lastly, and most importantly, I am married and have three sons, all of whom make me very proud.
