Some thoughts on the Number 1 song.

Top 500 is done....now in come the compliments and complaints.

Some people think Stairway To Heaven should be number one each and every year. Some like variety. Some get mad that their song is number 252.

In the end....does it matter? The list isn't science, it's opinion. Chances are, whatever song you personally think is the greatest of all time. I'll think you're wrong, and you'll think I'm wrong.

AC/DC -- You Shook Me All Night Long was number one. My opinion, no. It's not even the best AC/DC song for my money. Just like for me, Stairway isn't the best Zeppelin song. Do I care, No. Just interested.

That's all any list is....interesting and fun. But not absolute. So if the number one on any given year isn't your cup of tea. Don't be mad at others for not agreeing with you. And don't doubt your quality of taste. You like what you like. That's what makes these lists fun. If we all liked the same thing...the list would never change.
