Well, it's finally HERE! The Civic Holiday Weekend, or Simcoe Day as it's known now here in Ontario! Wooohooo! Summer time, and nothing better than a long weekend!
Cottage Country, Wasaga Beach, Collingwood-Blue Mountains will all be swarmed this weekend by tourists, cottagers and campers.
One of this weekend's highlights is the annual Kempenfest celebration on Barrie's Waterfront. One of North America's largest outdoor arts and crafts shows featuring 100's of white tents filled with artisans displaying their wares and dotting the waterfront from the South Shore Centre to Centennial Beach and beyond on Kempenfelt Bay in the City of Barrie.
There's live entertainment featuring the Stampeders, Lighthouse, The Martels and more. Midway for the kids, a cross-the-bay swim and TONS of activities and displays.
Close to 200,000 visitors will pass through the exhibits this weekend. For more info click here.
