The Long Weekend Looms...

     Just two more days, and we'll kick off the long holday weekend!  Civic Holiday...or Simcoe Day..I get excited about a regular weekend, let alone throw an extra day in there and I can hardly stand it!

     This is one of the most travelled weekends of the year what with kids being out of school and families heading out for weekend camping or cottaging.  Young adults want to get out with friends to get some summer partying in, people are going to visit relatives, or traveling to see friends.  It's just a chaotic time on the roadways, and the OPP are cracking down hard this long weekend which will slow things down even more on the roadways during the peak driving periods.

     It's funny, you want to get away from it all, but to get there, you have to sit in about 4 hours of bumper to bumper traffic.  It takes about three days to get everything packed up and ready to go and then, by the time you get everything out of the car Friday night and settle in, it's late and by mid-day on Saturday you have to start thinking about the time it will take getting everything organized and ready to pack up to go back!
