Park Place Provides Nothing Memorable

Driving by the 200acre empty lot that was once the hollowed grounds which attracted thousands for big shows and festivals, Molson Park was a unique concert venue.

Now there's NOTHING special about it! I'm sure the new Shopping Centre will look fancy from the highway and I do love Golf Town, but do we need more retail locations?

This new Park Place will not create any long lasting memories as Molson Park did. The ONLY Drive-Thru Beer Store, (pull in, pop the trunk, order a case of Canadian, see ya!)

Molson Park had a Concert bowl that featured awesome sightlines and shaded areas under trees to throw a blanket down and watch big name bands on the stage.

The parking lot pre-party was one of the best parts of a Molson Park concert experience. It was like a tail-gate party for a Bills game, only with Rock n' Roll fans!

I've done things at old Molson Park that I wouldn't dare tell my parents, ("sinister laughs") but it was a unique concert experience that many of us will always remember!

Park Place just can't compare to what Molson Park once was.

Omg I so hear you on that, from the drive thru beer store which was so awesome, I'd go just so I could drive up to it, concerts in the park many I remember (or at most cloudy but know I had an amazing time) from my youthful days, and hear ya on things done that are on the QT and stored in memory for safe keeping. It's such a disappointment when a large piece of history that really said Barrie whether you lived there or just drove up the 400 on the way to Muskoka is now gone. I somehow doubt memories for this youthful generation in Barrie will have anywhere near the amazing memories we all did when Molson Park was the true blue Park Place of Barrie.
